Facials are skin treatments aiming to enhance the appearance and health of the face, neck, and back, addressing a variety of concerns, including acne, dehydration, hyperpigmentation, and signs of aging. At Frost Aesthetics in Mount Vernon, IL, our professional aestheticians offer customized facials using high-quality products and cutting-edge techniques. Immediate improvements may be noticeable, but the most significant benefits become visible after a series of treatments, with results lasting from a few weeks to several months based on individual skin types and concerns. If you’re ready to enhance your skin’s radiance and health, contact Frost Aesthetics today to schedule a personalized skin assessment and begin your skincare journey.
In this $100 comprehensive skincare treatment at Frost Aesthetics, our aestheticians customize each step based on your specific skincare goals. Starting with a double cleanse to remove dirt, oil, and debris, we create a clean slate for your skin analysis. This is followed by the application of a targeted cleanser. The next phase is exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and stimulate new cell growth. If suitable for your skin type, careful extractions for comedones are performed to avoid bacteria spread. This is followed by a nourishing and hydrating mask. The treatment concludes with a toner, moisturizer, and SPF, all tailored to your skin’s needs. This result-oriented treatment is designed to effectively tackle your specific skincare challenges. **May also be performed on the back**
This is a $75 treatment that will whisk you away from the day-to-day struggles of life. To start the skin care treatment off, your Aesthetician will provide you with a deep exfoliating cleanse. This will help remove surface dead skin cells to prepare your skin to receive all the nutrients and vitamins provided with a masquing application. During the next phase of this treatment, your Aesthetician will provide you with a customized massage to help your body release serotonin to help you relax. A toner, moisturizer, and SPF will finish out this ultimate form of relaxation for you.
Dermaplaning is a safe and painless skin exfoliating procedure that helps in removing the outermost layer of dead skin cells and the small, fine hairs (called vellus) many refer to as peach fuzz, revealing the fresh, smooth skin beneath. A ten or fourteen-gauge scalpel with gentle, feathering strokes is used by trained professionals to help exfoliate the outermost layer of the skin, treating acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and more. You can expect to see improved skin tone and texture after just one treatment.
In our Custom Facial, our aestheticians first perform a skin analysis to understand your unique needs and goals. Each step that follows, from the double cleanse to moisturizing, is tailored to these findings. If appropriate, the facial may include extractions and a hydrating mask, providing a comprehensive solution to your specific skin care challenges.
Absolutely! While traditionally a facial focuses on the face and neck, our Custom Facial can also be performed on the back. This helps address skincare concerns that extend beyond the facial area, providing comprehensive care.
Our Therapeutic Facial combines skin enhancement with relaxation, including a deep cleanse, mask, and custom massage for stress relief, offering a holistic respite from daily pressures.
The Therapeutic Facial at Frost Aesthetics involves a deep cleanse and mask for nutrient absorption, followed by toner, moisturizer, and SPF application for skin protection. This process ensures comprehensive skincare while providing a relaxing experience.
You will see some improvements in your skin as soon as your first treatment session is completed. The skin will appear more radiant and brighter. It will take 24 hours for your skin to relax after the treatment, and it will appear as though it has been rejuvenated.
You can expect to see results from treatments that exfoliate your skin for up to a month, or sometimes even longer, depending on how your skin looks.
- Retin-A or other exfoliating creams should not be used 24 to 72 hours (1 to 3 days) before your treatment.
- For at least a week before treatment, avoid sun tanning and tanning creams/sprays.
- You must NOT have recently used Accutane or had laser surgery.
- Prior to undergoing dermaplane, candidates who have recently undergone a chemical peel or other skin treatments, such as a collagen injection, should wait two to three weeks.
- For a few weeks before dermaplane treatment, prospective patients should refrain from waxing or tanning the skin.
- Prep your face and neck for each treatment by washing with a non-oily, non-soap based cleanser.
Following these post-procedure instructions will maximize Dermaplane recovery time and results:
- Make sure the new skin is kept clean and moisturized.
- If necessary, apply anti-inflammatory creams or cold compresses.
- Make sure you use a gentle cleanser.
- Avoid scratching or picking the treated areas.
- For one week, do not use harsh chemicals on the treated skin, rub it, or tan it.
- There may be some peeling in the treated areas, but moisturizer should minimize it.
- Keep out of the sun for at least 7 days after the Dermaplane treatment to prevent UV rays from damaging your skin and slowing down the healing process.
- Sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or above should be used by patients who cannot avoid exposure to the sun.
- For 24-48 hours after treatment, avoid glycolic, alpha hydroxy, beta hydroxy, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, and topical acne treatments.
- When you have completed your last dermaplane treatment, or as instructed by your technician, you can resume the use of prescription retinol products (Retin A, Renova, Tretinoin, Avita, Alustra, or other brands of Tretinoin). Adapalene, Avage, Differin, Tazorac, and Tazarotene are also prescription retinoid products.
